Kristina's Color Inspiration #11

Here is yet another great inspiration challenge from Kristina. I have been slacking I know, but it has been a busy summer and will continue to be.

This is what I came up with for the challenge. I already knew that I wanted to do a chipboard flower and use my craft ink. I really don't use it as much as I should. Anyway, to do the flower I sanded the edges, and then inked it up in whisper white craft ink, then I used the viney stamp from my newest stamp set Fresh Cuts and I inked it up in so saffron craft ink and stamped it on the craft ink. While the ink was still wet I poured iridescent ice EP on it and heated. I then did several layers of clear EP to make it smooth.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Fresh Cuts
Paper: Shimmery White, Textured Going Gray, Rose Red, Old Olive, So Saffron
Ink: Rose Red Craft Ink, So Saffron Craft Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink
Accessories: Styled Silver Hodgepodge hardware, 5-petal flower punch, small oval punch, 3/16" corner rounder, mat pack, paper piercer, Iridescent Ice EP, Crystal Clear EP

Joy Fold Invites

Last night I had a lot of fun stamping with my friend. We came up with this simple layout so that we could make a lot of them. This is for a Bridal Shower. The Groovy Guava piece lifts up from behind the flower and the bottom part with the Designer Paper lifts down to reveal the invitation. I am sorry but I didn't get a view of the inside for you but it turned out to be a nice and quick card to do.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Year After Year
Paper: DSP Ginger Blossom, Ruby Red, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Ink: Ruby Red, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Basic Black
Accessories: 5-Petal Punch, Boho Blossom Punch, Silver Brads, Blender Pen

Not in the Groove

I am so sorry, I have been MIA for a LONG time. We went on a trip to go to my cousins wedding and my family was in town for a while. Anyway, these are some projects I did a while back for a friend. They look really similar I know but the colors she asked for were orange and Navy, and orange and black. She is giving them to some graduates this year with either some money or a gift card. What a great idea!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Hugs and Wishes, Tassel Time (Retired)
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy, Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle punch, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon Pumpkin Pie, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon Basic Black, 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon Night of Navy, Linen Thread, SU! Tins

Quick Father's Day card

This is a card that I came up with for a simple father's day card. This isn't a very good picture of the card because it doesn't show all the detail, like the soft sky argyle background. Maybe if you click on it, it might show up better.

Supplies:
Stamps: All Holidays, Twill
Paper: DSP Prints Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou
Accessories: 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, Linen Thread, Crop-A-Dile

Neutral Graduation card

I was trying to come up with a neutral graduation card and this is what I came up with. It is a very simple card. The part that takes the longest is cutting card stock. I think I like this color combo a lot for a neutral card. This card can really be turned into an any occasion card.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Celebrate Everything
Paper: DSP Fall Flowers, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey, Old Olive
Accessories: Basic Grey Taffeta Ribbon

Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day is one of the most important days of the year. Okay, I am a little bit bias because I am a mother myself. But I do think it is a very special day and I am glad that there is a day set aside for mothers. I think I have one of the BEST mothers around and I hope I can be half as wonderful as she is. So make a card for your mother before it is too late to mail.

Supplies:
Stamps: En Frances, All Holidays
Paper: DSP Berry Bliss, Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate, Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: Vintage Brads, Boho Punch
