I am back! Where did I go? Nowhere, I have just been totally wiped out by scrap booking. When I do a layout it takes me at least 4 hours, and I have been trying to get the wedding album done I've been working on. Anyway, I am so excited that Kristina is back from convention and started up her color inspiration challenges again. For this challenge we were to use black, pumpkin, rose red, and summer sun OR green galore.
I went with green galore because I don't think I have ever used this color and if I used the green then it would be more boy colors. I needed a little boy's card because my little nephew is having a birthday in a couple weeks! Yeah! It still looks kind of girly with the pink in it, but like Kristina said in one of her earlier posts,"After all, a girl (me) is making the card, right?" Anyway, this is what I came up with for the challenge. It was a lot of fun.
Supplies:
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: It's your Birthday (retiring), Holiday Blitz

Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain, Pumpkin Grosgrain, Black Gingham; Punches: Tab, 1-1/4" square, 1-3/8" square; Coluzzel, Hodgepodge Hardware, Beads Duo Green

The card is super cute, even with the pink :) I think he'll love it!!
I use to be a take forever type of scrapbooker. Now, I just don't care anymore. I use to look at magazine and want my pages to look something or as awesome as what I saw. Now, I look but only to get inspiration and not to try to look like something I'm not capable of (although I wish, ha!) so now I can whip out a page in a couple hours... although some which has a lot of embellishments can take hours.
I'd love to see your pages!
Very cute!! I love that close up shot with the amazing details!
