Celery Note Pad

So my daughter started taking piano lessons just recently and her piano teacher asked that I send her with a note pad that she could write her assignments on. I wanted to put together something fun so that my daughter would know that it is hers and make it pretty. When I showed it to her she loved it. Anyway, this is what I came up with, simple but fun. I actually did some hand sewing to get the button to stay on. This is going to be handled by a 4 year old and I didn't want thing falling off in the process of taking it out and putting it back in her piano bag multiple times.
Supplies:
Paper: Retired DSP, White Computer Paper (to make the pad)
Accessories: So Saffron 7/8 Inch Poly-Twill Ribbon , Pretties Kit , Button Latte , Linen Thread , Tapestry Needle, Mini Glue dots, Staples

Girly Birthday Card

Sorry for the terrible photo. I was in a hurry when I took this picture. Anyway, this is one of the cards for my upcoming birthday card class. This is another nice and quick card with a simple layout. Stampin up now offers clear rhinestones separate from the pretties kits, yeah!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Wow Flowers
Paper: Rose Red, Orchid Opulence, Barely Banana, Whisper White
Ink: Rose Red, Orchid Opulence, Barely Banana

Back for another Kwerner Challenge

Oh I love these color challenges by Kristina she chooses such great colors. Aren't these ribbons so fun! Anyway, I have to come up with some birthday cards for this month's Ladies' Night and I thought we would make something like this card. It will have to be a simpler version of this card because there will be 10 cards to make. So anyway, this is what I came up with for the challenge.
I got to use some more of my new Stampin' Stuff from my new order. I {heart} the bold birthday sizzlits!
I popped the candles and cupcake top. I ran the cup cake bottom through the crimper and the topper through the big shot with the texturz plates to give them some dimension. I also added crystal effects to the flame to give it a little flair.

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: Hugs & Wishes

Paper: So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Whisper White, More Mustard

Ink: Basic Black

Accessories: Big Bold Cupcakes Sizzlits 4-Pack Dies, Backgrounds 1 Texturz Plates, Crimper, Mat Pack, Cutter Kit, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Coluzzle

New Beginnings Invitations

I was so excited to play with my new stampin' Stuff that when I had to make invitations for a youth activity, I tried to incorporate some of my new things. I also used some of my old DP for the butterfly. Anyway, this is what I came up with for the invite. I used the New texture plates, they are so awesome! I also love the beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, only available through stampin' up! I thought it would be fun to create a swing card to view the invitation.
The funny thing is, is I put the wrong date on the invitation, and didn't figure it out till after they were put in the mail. I was so embarrassed, still am a little. Anyway, mistakes happen and it is nothing that a phone call and emails can't fix, right?
