Embrace Pomegranate

I love to eat pomegranates! That is just a side note. Here is another submission to a great Challenge by Kristina, color inspiration challenge #13! The colors she chose were purely pomegranate, regal rose, river rock, wild wasabi, and whisper white.

This is what I came up with for the challenge. I had a little fun with some acetate. I water colored the image on water color paper and then on the acetate I stamped the littler flowers in white stazon to make a subtle overlay. You can see the a better picture of this in the photo below.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Embrace Life, Holiday Blitz
Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, water color paper, acetate sheet
Ink: Regal Rose Stampin' Write Marker, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, Stazon White, Versa Mark, White Signo Gel Pen
Accessories: Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware, White Half round pearls from the Pretties Kit, River Rock Double Stitched Grosgrain, Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Grosgrain, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer,

Wedding Fans

So have you seen these before? I hadn't till I was asked to help out with this project. Aren't they fun! This wonderful couple had an outdoor wedding, and what is more perfect than a fan? On the front is the information. I also used crystal effects and micro-beads to highlight half of the front.

The photographer was able to make a cute collage for the back of the fan.

Supplies

Stamp Sets: Swirly Wheel

Paper: Tempting Turquoise

Ink: Versa Mark

Accessories: Crystal Effects, Micro-Beads, Ticket Corner Punch, Whisper White Taffeta, White Organdy(retired)

Kristina's Color Inspiration #11

Here is yet another great inspiration challenge from Kristina. I have been slacking I know, but it has been a busy summer and will continue to be.

This is what I came up with for the challenge. I already knew that I wanted to do a chipboard flower and use my craft ink. I really don't use it as much as I should. Anyway, to do the flower I sanded the edges, and then inked it up in whisper white craft ink, then I used the viney stamp from my newest stamp set Fresh Cuts and I inked it up in so saffron craft ink and stamped it on the craft ink. While the ink was still wet I poured iridescent ice EP on it and heated. I then did several layers of clear EP to make it smooth.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Fresh Cuts
Paper: Shimmery White, Textured Going Gray, Rose Red, Old Olive, So Saffron
Ink: Rose Red Craft Ink, So Saffron Craft Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink
Accessories: Styled Silver Hodgepodge hardware, 5-petal flower punch, small oval punch, 3/16" corner rounder, mat pack, paper piercer, Iridescent Ice EP, Crystal Clear EP

Joy Fold Invites

Last night I had a lot of fun stamping with my friend. We came up with this simple layout so that we could make a lot of them. This is for a Bridal Shower. The Groovy Guava piece lifts up from behind the flower and the bottom part with the Designer Paper lifts down to reveal the invitation. I am sorry but I didn't get a view of the inside for you but it turned out to be a nice and quick card to do.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Year After Year
Paper: DSP Ginger Blossom, Ruby Red, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Ink: Ruby Red, Groovy Guava, River Rock, Basic Black
Accessories: 5-Petal Punch, Boho Blossom Punch, Silver Brads, Blender Pen
