Breezy Watercolor Palette O'Prints

I did this card for a technique challenge on SCS and I used this layout by Beate. This technique was a lot of fun to do. What you do is you color you stamp with stampin' write markers and get your natural card stock wet with a spray bottle. Stamp your image on the wet CS and the color will flow outward creating a watercolor effect. Once the CS has dried you can stamp the same image again using a darker color (I used Close to Cocoa) or you can use your stampin' write markers again and you will have the solid image with a faded back ground.
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Balmy Breezes, Everyday Flexible Phrases
Paper: Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Naturals Ivory, Palette O'Prints
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Marker, So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Silver Brads, Word Window Punch, 1/4" circle punch

Girls Camp / Boy Scout Auction!

At church the young women and the boy scouts are having a dinner and an auction to raise money to go to camp this Summer. They asked all the church members if there was something or some service we provide that we can donate to the auction. I decide to donate some cards. I totally forgot how many I said I would donate so I just made 10 thank you cards and 10 birthday cards. I've been making them all morning and having a great time!

So these are all 20 of them! I got both ideas from card swaps that I have done in the past. I just did some tweaking either on the color or layout.

You can't see it very well in the photo but there is glitter on the tips of the flowers, cap and diploma.

Stamp sets: Do the Hula, Tassel Time, Whimsical Numbers

Paper: Kraft, Confetti White

Ink: Choc. Chip, Green Galor, Garden Green, Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence, Cool Caribbean

Giggle!

Doesn't that word just make you smile! I love these stamp sets together, Seeing Spots and Warm Words. They're kind of Sassy and Cute. The back panel is dry embossed with the Classy Brass Seeing Spots. I put some glitter in the middle of the flowers to add some sparkle. I added a strip of Summer Sun CS that was roughed up to look kind of like ribbon. I got the color inspiration from the Seeing Spots Inspiration Sheet. I was in the mood to make a bright, Caribbean feel card. I want to got to the beach! I just wish it wasn't so far away! We will be going to Topsail in August, I can't wait!

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: Seeing Spots, Warm Words

Paper: Cool Caribbean, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Certainly Celery, Confetti White

Ink: Cool Caribbean, Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Certainly Celery

Accessories: Classy Brass Seeing Spots, Stylus, Light Table, 2-way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds

Palette O'Prints All Wrapped Up

I made this card for a SCS challenge. I combined today's challenge with yesterday's challenge. Yesterday's, was to do the technique crayon resist, and today's color challenge was to use Certainly Celery, Old Olive, and Vintage Violette (or Elegant Eggplant if you don't have VV). So to do crayon resist, what you do is stamp your image in Stazon on Glossy White Card stock. When your image has dried you can take a white crayon or candle (something that is waxy and will resist ink) and write where you want high lights. Then sponge over your image with ink. This is a really Fun technique!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: All Wrapped Up
Paper: Palette O'Prints, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Glossy White
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: paper piercer, mat pack, white grosgrain ribbon, white crayon, stampin' dimensionals

Butterfly Palette O'Prints

I had a crazy day Saturday, you all know how it goes! I had tons of projects to do around the house. I made some Strawberry Jam, Yummy! I cleaned up my craft room to make room for a futon that was given to us, so now it is in and all ready for my sister to come and visit! I also did the general pick up around the house. I went running too, Oh how I feel so much better after I run. I didn't get any stamping done yesterday, gasp!! So anyway I was playing around this morning with Bold Butterfly stamp set and the Palette O'Prints paper. So can you find the paper? Yep, the circles in the back ground are punch out of the POP paper and trimmed so it looks like it continues off the paper. I stamped the butterflies and flowers on glossy white card stock, hence the glare in the middle of the card. For the sentiment I omitted some of the phrase, by just inking up the last part, so it would just say "happy for you".

Supplies:

Stamp Sets: Bold Butterfly, Quick Thinking

Paper: Mellow Moss, So Saffron, Glossy White, Palette O'Prints

Ink: Mellow Moss, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa

Accessories: 3/4" Circle Punch

Blast from the Past!

So some of you may have seen this card before or a similar one like it, and this is a terrible picture of the card, it really looks a lot better IRL (in real life). I was trying to find something I had already made to post this morning so there would be something new! I found this masculine card I had made way back when I had first become a demonstrator (a little over a year ago). I am so sad this stamp set is retiring, well, I am sad all of the sets are retiring, but what is new. So anyway, I didn't have time to stamp what I wanted to so here is my result. I made a belt around the bottom of the card and put two eyelets to create a masculine effect. Then I roughed up the tail part that was loose and tore it to give it more dimension. I will try to post another card later that uses the Pallette O'Prints. This card would make a great Father's Day card!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Balmy Breezes, Linen Background, Every Day Flexible Phrases
Paper: Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke, Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke, Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Antique Brass Eyelets, 1/8" Punch, crafters tool kit

Aloha Palette O' Prints

This is a quick card I put together using the Palette O'Prints paper and one of my most favorite Stamp sets Do the Hula! It took me less than 15 minutes to do. I was rummaging through my scraps to create a 3 1/2 square card. I inked up my surfboard in Lovely Lilac and stamp it on the Almost Amethyst Palette O'Prints Flower Paper and cut it out. To make the flowers white I used my White Signo Gel Pen and colored them in to make them stand out.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Do the Hula
Ink: Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst
Paper: Palette O'Prints, Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst, Whisper White
Accessories: White Grosgrain, Stampin' Dimensionals, White Signo Gel Pen

Palette O'Prints!

So I thought I would try making a card everyday using the Palette O'Prints Paper and one of Stampin' Up!'s Retiring Sets in honor of the Palette O'Prints Promotion, that runs till the end of this month. I just got the paper on Monday, it is Sooo Beautiful! Along with my Palette O'Prints Paper came my Coluzzle, so I had to try it out, Right! I also found my unopened Shimmery card stock, it is really pretty in real life. The picture doesn't do it justice. To get the woman's printed dress I stamped the image on the Palette O'Prints paper and just cut out the dress and glued it where it belonged. Stay Tuned!
Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Swell News
Paper: Palette O'Prints Paper, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Shimmery White
Inks: Stazon Timber Brown, So Saffron, Blush Blossom, Tempting Turquoise, Rose Red
Accessories: Coluzzle, Ivory Organdy Ribbon, Silver Brads, 3/4" Circle Punch, Flower Bouquet Punch, and Scalloped Scissors (non SU!)

Friend Memories

I just got this ATC Album, from the Spring Mini Catalog, in the mail yesterday. I ordered it so I could make a gift for my sister who is graduating from high school at the end of this month. This has pages that are perfect for holding the wallet sized pictures that everyone passes out. To make it the first thing I did was paint the album with white craft paint mixed with Certainly Celery Reinker. I used the Simply Scrapin' Friends & Flowers, which is a level 1 hostess set and will be retiring at the end of June. I glued on the pattern paper and basically stuck on all the rest. In the simply scrapin' kit I took the negatives from the letters and placed Chocolate Chip CS behind it to make the letters pop more. Along the bottom I put Twill Tape, and I added an orange embellishment from the scrap kit, you can't read it in the picture but it says "memories". I secured the twill tape with Silver Brads by punching all the way through the chip board with a paper piercer. I also added some Linen Thread and some White Grosgrain to the front for embellishing and some Chocolate and Apricot Grosgrain to the spine of the album.

On the back I used mostly the same supplies. It is definitely less crowded.

Here is a view of the inside. I obviously do not have any pictures of my sister's friends, so I thought I would make a few cards that she can write special information on, like say the names of her friends or "memories" they have had together! So McKenzie, start saving up lots of pictures! I think it will fit 60 total front and back. They also sell refills if you end up with more than 60 photos. Wow, that is a lot of photos!

Spring Flowers Birthday Calendar!

This is a Birthday Calendar and it comes all white and ready to decorate the way you want it. I was talking to my mom one day and she mentioned something about needing one of those calendars that you can use every year to keep Family and Friend's Birthdays on. So when she said that, I knew exactly what I was going to get her for her Birthday! I have been meaning to give this to her for the longest time, hoping she would fly out and I would just give it to her then. For one reason or another her trip out here has been put off several times. I figure she should at least know what she is getting from me! Surprise! So I had a lot of fun making this for my mother. On the pages inside I did a different design and theme for every month. For the cover I used Mellow Moss and Whisper White card stock. I also used the Designer Series Paper Spring Flowers from the SU! Catalog. In the picture, you can't see it that well, but at the top and bottom of the calendar I used my sewing machine and sewed across the mellow moss portions of the cover. I think the sewing added a fun touch. For the Flower, I traced the flower from On Board Accents on the Spring Flowers Paper and cut it out. I glued the paper to the flower and sanded all the edges with a sanding block. I then took my stamping sponge and inked it up with Chocolate Chip and sponged around the edges. I took the large round button from the Clear Buttons and put mellow moss behind it, I adhered it to the back of the button and cut the CS (card stock) around the edges. I used my Paper Piercing Tool to poke through the button holes, and then I threaded some ribbon from Seaside Ribbon Originals and tied it. I adhered the button to the flower, and the flower to the cover, with some Mini Glue Dots. At the bottom I tied Cream Grosgrain Ribbon and then added some scraps of Spring Moss and Chocolate Grosgrain, by tying a simple knot. The Sets I used were It's Your Birthday, Whimsical Alphabet Upper and Lower. I also did some distressing on some of the edges of my CS. I may post some of my favorite pages from this calendar later. Enjoy!
