Another Layout for my Bros Wedding Album

So this is the layout I had to finish before I made my Color Inspiration card for Kristina's Challenge. You may recognize this layout from Linz's blog or Sarah's blog. I thought is was so cute I had to use it, thanks guys for the great inspiration! I also thought that if I had a layout already picked out then it would go a bit faster. Was I right? Well sort of , I guess. Instead of 4 hours for the layout, it only took 3. Ha ha! I guess that is an improvement!
The pictures on this page look pretty sickly in this photo, but they really do look better IRL. Wow my desk is a mess! They say a creative genius is a messy person right? Okay, I am just looking for and excuse! Ha ha! My reasoning is that if I clean it up, then I will just have to pull it out again, so what's the point! I will eventually clean it all up when the album is finally done! I think I only have about 7 more layouts, but who is counting!
For the letters I stamped the En Frances on Mellow Moss and then I used my Jumbo Outline Alphabet and cut the letters out. I love this set! I also used craft ink and clear EP for the flowers all around the pages!

Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge #20

Here is another color inspiration challenge by Kristina. Aren't these gorgeous colors!

I promised myself that I would do at least one layout for the wedding album I am working on before I participated in a challenge. So, I had to finish that up before I came up with this card. I had a completely different card in mind when I started and ended up with this. Maybe I will do another if I complete another layout.

Another Layout for my Bros Wedding Album

I've been playing with my New Big Shot! I love this awesome machine. I also love the Tulipe Bigz Die, so elegant! And you can separate different pieces out and create completely different accents!

Isn't my sister-in-law Beautiful! She is very photogenic!

Just a close-up of the first page.

Quick Invites!

Just a quick post, I should be getting dinner ready :) Well I needed to come up with a bunch of invitations for the youth and their parents.

This is what I came up with! I used a lot of my retired DSP with my NEW scallop Edge Punch, totally awesome! Love the scallop edge!

I used the ribbon hole punch to put the ribbon through. The holes were a bit too small for me to lace the ribbon through twice and cover up the middle so I used the half pearls from the Pretties Kit with a mini glue dot. I thought it turned out to be pretty cool!

Fun Sketch by Kristina

So Kristina has put up a sketch. I love sketches! She said it didn't have to be exactly like the sketch, just a general idea.

Here is what I came up with. I pretty much followed the sketch except for the sentiment. I got to use some of my new die cuts for the Big Shot! Woo hoo! I also used the thickest twill tape available by SU! for the first time. I don't know why I don't use it more often.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Pretty Petals, Twill
Paper: Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Retired DSP Petal Patch
Ink: Versa Mark, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Chipboard Lots of Letters, Clear EP, Twill Tape, Birds & Blooms Sizzlits Die 4-Pack, 1" Circle Punch, Button

Another Layout for my Bros Wedding Album

Just a quick post! Here is the latest page I have finished! I really like how this one turned out! I don't have the best pics of the details but on the scallops I put little hole on each scallop, kind of making it like lace.
For the chipboard I used craft in and then clear embossed it, I love the effect it creates! Nice and elegant! If you are curious as to what the beautiful building is in the pictures, it is the LDS San Diego Temple, in San Diego CA of course. It is so Gorgeous!

I gathered the taffeta ribbon for this page, I love how this turned out! So Elegant!

Gotta Love the Chipboard Lots of Letters! Or any chipboard for that fact! Thanks for stopping by!

Bright Birthdays are the Best!

I am back! Where did I go? Nowhere, I have just been totally wiped out by scrap booking. When I do a layout it takes me at least 4 hours, and I have been trying to get the wedding album done I've been working on. Anyway, I am so excited that Kristina is back from convention and started up her color inspiration challenges again. For this challenge we were to use black, pumpkin, rose red, and summer sun OR green galore.
I went with green galore because I don't think I have ever used this color and if I used the green then it would be more boy colors. I needed a little boy's card because my little nephew is having a birthday in a couple weeks! Yeah! It still looks kind of girly with the pink in it, but like Kristina said in one of her earlier posts,"After all, a girl (me) is making the card, right?" Anyway, this is what I came up with for the challenge. It was a lot of fun.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: It's your Birthday (retiring), Holiday Blitz
Paper: Textured CS in Pumpkin Pie, Green Galore, Basic Black; Whisper White; DSP Bali Breeze; Water Color Paper
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Various Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain, Pumpkin Grosgrain, Black Gingham; Punches: Tab, 1-1/4" square, 1-3/8" square; Coluzzel, Hodgepodge Hardware, Beads Duo Green
